I guess if I had floated a business at a grossly inflated 500p share price less than three years ago, getting well paid brokers to overlook shocking corporate governance and a mad valuation I would be pissed off with bears who pointed this out and have coined it in as the shares have crashed to just 90p. Matt Moulding of THG (THG) cashed in to the tune of hundreds of millions of pounds in that September 2020 IPO and has no shame.

My good pals at the FRC have today announced that it will be launching a full enquiry into the clean sign off given by audit firm Crowe UK into the accounts of the fraud Akazoo for the calendar years 2016, 2017 and 2018. You will remember that Gabriel Grego exposed this UK registered but Greek based and US listed company as a complete fraud in April 2020 and the SEC is now running a full probe. One firm that has narrowly avoided a massive bullet, as I can reveal today, is auditor BDO Global.

Back in 2015 I demonstrated, without any doubt, that AIM listed InternetQ (INTQ) was a fraud. I doorstepped it in Athens. I crawled all over its bigus websites in Greece. The Greek management and fund manager Martin Hughes of Tosca – a shareholder PA as well as via his fund – responded by taking it private. They then rebranded it as Akazoo and listed it on Nasdaq, Earlier this week Gabriel Grego again exposed it as a fraud. On Friday, the shares were suspended, the CEO fired and investors warned that ALL historic financials may be fiction. The SEC filing below is damning.

The latest dossier from Gabriel Grego is damning. I believe he has spotted a nailed down fraud that will go to zero. Grego is presenting in New York this afternoon and of course at the ShareProphets show on May 9 - but the dossier is below. We pointed out numerous red flags at Globo (GBO) for two years before finally sinking the fraud by publishing Gabriel Grego’s dynamite dossier but some folks knew better. In the fund management community the fraud’s biggest supporter was Harry Nimmo of Standard Life whose fund (other folks cash) were on the register to the bitter end. Harry was a true Globo believer. Globo (GBO) was a fraud which claimed to have cash but did not and is now bust. Its downfall was precipitated by ShareProphets publishing a Gabriel Grego dossier after the FT and snot-gobbler Dan McCrum merely tipped off the CEO allowing him to dump all his shares and failed to publish. Now the Financial Reporting Council says that it is letting auditor Grant Thornton off the hook and dropping its enquiry.

The suspension of shares in Folli Follie on Friday because, after three weeks, it was unable to verify its claimed cash balances is surely the beginning of the end. The Greek Press is today reporting that criminal charges for the bubbles in charge are on the way - see HERE. I like to think I played a small part in its downfall and really enjoyed my doorstepping last week. But the architect of this exposure is my pal Gabriel Grego of QCM although it is only a matter of time before Dan "snot gobbler" McCrum at the FT takes full credit.
